Credit has been given to the small casinos in Las Vegas for improving their image over the past few years.
These smaller establishments often go un-noticed, trying to do business in the shadows of the colossal resorts on the strip.
Jerry's Nugget had always been popular with locals but had started to look a bit tired and worn. Now the casino has undergone a facelift and is now superbly turned out, with new wooden floor, a great new coffee shop and a much more spacious feel.
Ellis Island Casino on Koval Lane has been applauded for its great $4.95 steak meal, good value beers and huge portions. This small casino is another favourite of the locals and has gone un-noticed for too long.
Henderson's Eldorado casino has also been thoroughly refurbished with new fixtures and fittings and now gives a great friendly and fun atmosphere.
